Professor Zheng Ouyang received his BE and ME in Automatic Control from Tsinghua University in China, his MS in Physical Chemistry from West Virginia University in USA, and his Ph D. in Analytical Chemistry from Purdue University in USA. He had been a professor at the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University before he joined Tsinghua University in 2016 and served as the Chairman of the Department of Precision Instrument and the Deputy Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering. Professor Ouyang’s research is focused on the development of mass spectrometry instrumentation and related applications in biomedical field.
Currently, he is the Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, Editor of the International Journal of Mass Spectrometry, Associate Editor of Research, Associate Editor of Encyclopedia of Analytical Chemistry, and member of editorial board for Trends in Analytical Chemistry and Journal of The American Society for Mass Spectrometry.
