Professor ZHANG Ming is a Distinguished Professor of the National Talent Program, Master of Architectural Design in Shanghai, a tenured professor and doctoral supervisor at Tongji University, head of the Landscape Architecture Department at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning(CAUP) at Tongji University, and Chief Architect at Tongji Architectural Design (Group) Co., Ltd. Chief Landscape Architect of Tianfu New District in Chengdu, Chief Designer of Qianhai Public Space in Shenzhen, and Chief Designer of Yangpu District Section of Yangtze River and Suzhou Creek Huangpu District Section Public Spaces of 'One River and One Creek Project'. He has won more than 150 international, national and provincial awards, including 30 international and regional awards, including the Rosa Barba International Landscape Architecture Prize at the Barcelona International Landscape Biennial, the Gold Award of the Asian Architects Association(ARCASIA), and the World Architecture Festival (WAF) Landscape of the Year Award, the International Federation of Landscape Architects(IFLA) Asia-Pacific Landscape Award and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Shanghai Architecture Award. With the support of the National Natural Science Fund and the National Key Research and Development Project, he has achieved international leadership in the pioneering, exploratory and exemplary aspects of theory and practice in the fields of urban built environment regeneration, urban infrastructure integration, industrial landscape restoration and the transformation of urban waterfronts into ecological and livable areas. He has published over 150 academic papers and 5 monographs and books.
