GUO Liejin, Professor and PhD Supervisor at Xi'an Jiaotong University, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fellow of the Third World Academy of Sciences, specialist in engineering thermophysics and energy utilization, is the principal academic leader in China's energy and power multiphase flow and hydrogen energy disciplines. He is the first Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor appointed by the Ministry of Education in the field of thermal energy engineering. Professor Guo is the founder and academic leader of the New Energy Science and Engineering major at Xi'an Jiaotong University. He serves as the Director of the National Key Laboratory of Green Hydrogen and Electricity (formerly the National Key Laboratory of Multiphase Flow in Power Engineering), the Founding Director of the International Research Centre for Clean and Renewable Energy, and the Principal Investigator for the National Natural Science Foundation's “Energy Ordered Conversion” Basic Science Centre. Additionally, he leads the thermal physics foundation team for the efficient conservation and renewable conversion of energy for three consecutive terms and has been the Chief Scientist for two consecutive terms of the “973 Plan”, as well as the Chief Scientist of the first batch of national key research and development plans, among other prestigious roles.
