On May 6, 2026, the Innovate Together Competition (ITC) was held at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The competition was jointly organized by the Master of Engineering Management (MEM) Education Center of Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, University of Galway (Ireland), Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University Rotterdam (the Netherlands), RWTH Aachen University (Germany), and École Centrale de Nantes (France). The UNESCO International Centre for Engineering Education (ICEE) served as the academic guidance unit for the event. ICEE Assistant Secretary-General and Associate Professor in Research Qiao Weifeng, ICEE Assistant Secretary-General Dr. Xu Lihui, attended as judges and carried out project evaluation work.

The ITC is dedicated to fostering cross-cultural teamwork, project-based learning, and academic-industry collaboration. Graduate students and advanced undergraduate students are eligible to participate, with cross-university team formation encouraged. The Final Round alternates annually between China and Europe. This year's competition attracted 19 elite teams comprising 107 outstanding students from more than 20 countries and regions, including China, the Netherlands, Germany, Ireland, and Italy.

The ITC is an annual international platform for graduate and advanced undergraduate students from universities in China and Europe, bringing teams together to tackle real-world challenges aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
