Official challenges for the 2022 World Engineering Day Hackathon will be announced in just 3 short days. We have a sneak peak at the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals we will be hacking!
Round one
This initial round of the hackathon competition requires a written submission. Participants will have 2 weeks from the Hackathon Challenge announcement to upload their entry into the Hackathon's Submission Portal. Guidelines will be provided on what level of detail should be included in their submission, as well as guidance on the judges expectations. All entries must be uploaded through our online Submissions Portal. The top 8-10 entries will be identified by our global panel of judges and will be invited to participate in Round two of the Hackathon challenge.
Round two
This Final round requires the invited hackathon participants to create a video submission of their entry. Finalists will be required to create and submit a 5minute video presentation of their solution and work. Finalist videos will be aired during the global World Engineering Day 24HRS LIVE stream, with the winner announced LIVE on air on March 4th 2022.

Aligned with the 2022 Theme: Build Back Wiser – Engineering the Future, the World Engineering Day Hackathon will encourage engineering students to work in teams towards a global real-world problem.
