XIE Zhenhua, Special Advisor for Climate Change Affairs of China, President of Institute of Climate Change and Sustainable Development at Tsinghua University. Formerly, Administrator of National Environmental Protection Agency of China, Minister of the State Environmental Protection Administration, Vice Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission.

From 2015 to 2019 he assumed the post of Special Representative for Climate Change Affairs of China. For a long time, Mr. XIE Zhenhua has been responsible for environmental protection, resource conservation, energy conservation and emission mitigation, and climate change affairs. Mr. XIE Zhenhua received GEF Global Leadership Award, UNEP Sasakawa Environment Prize and World Bank Special Green Award, Alliance to Save Energy- Energy Efficiency Visionary Award, and WWF Livable Planet Leadership Award and the Lui Che Woo Sustainability Prize.
