Dr. LIU Zheng, Professor of biochemical engineering at the department of chemical engineering, Tsinghua University. He is now serving as the dean of Tanwei College, Tsinghua University, director of key laboratory of industrial biocatalysis, ministry of education and advisory board member of chemical engineering and technology programs, ministry of education.

Prof. LIU also service as the vice director of biochemical engineering community of Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China (CIESC), editorial board member of ACS Industrial Engineering &Chemistry Research, Journal of Biotechnology, Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering and etc. Prof. LIU’ research focuses on chemical and biomolecular engineering, with special interests in new separation techniques for biological molecules, chemical re-engineering of enzymes for industrial biocatalysis; and bioremediation of oil and salt contaminated soil.

He has published over 210 peer-reviewed journal papers and supervised over 50 graduate students, many of whom are working actively and productively in domestic and international institutions. Prof. Liu has received many awards for excellence in teaching and research, including Yangtze River Scholarship of Ministry of Education (2012).
