WU Qidi, Director of ICEE under the auspices of UNESCO. She served as Vice Minister of Education, President of Tongji University, and Chairperson of Governing Board, China Engineering Education Accreditation Association. Professor WU Qidi has long been engaged in teaching, research and management in the fields of control theory, control engineering and management engineering. She was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.

She graduated from Tsinghua University with an undergraduate degree in communication technology. She received her Master’s degree in automatic control from Tsinghua University and her PhD in electrical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich.
