Dr. Nan Liu is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Quantitative Medicine and Programme in Health Services and Systems Research, Duke-NUS Medicine School. Currently, he directs the Digital Medicine Lab (www.DigitalMedicineLab.org). His research focuses on artificial intelligence and machine learning with applications to medical informatics, health services research, emergency and critical care, cardiology, and health innovation. Dr Liu has been awarded research grants from the National Medical Research Council, National Health Innovation Centre, and National Research Foundation. He was recognized as one of the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier in 2022. Dr Liu serves and has served as Associate Editor/Editorial Board Member for more than 10 prestigious peer-reviewed journals, such as npj Digital Medicine, IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, and PLOS Digital Health. Additionally, he is a regular reviewer for more than 80 international journals, including The Lancet and Nature Medicine.
