The International Forum on Engineering Education is a biennial international academic event co-organized by Tsinghua University, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and UNESCO. The first two forums were held at Tsinghua University in 2018 and 2020 respectively.

Engineering education is now facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges as a result of accelerating scientific and technological development and industrial reform. The Forum will bring together renowned scholars and leaders in the field of engineering education, engineering technology and technology management from all over the world, to have profound discussions of the innovation and development of engineering education, promoting the world's frontier scientific and technological innovation and taking the initiative to meet the major global scientific and technological challenges.

The 3rd International Forum on Engineering Education will be held at Tsinghua University in Beijing on 7-9 December, 2022. This forum takes the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as the guiding framework, breaks through physical boundaries and disciplinary barriers through the permeable information technology and close cooperation with other disciplines to promote sustainability-oriented innovative research and engineering talent cultivation. With the theme of “Sustainable Innovation in Information Technology”, the Forum will launch a vigorous, on-going global dialogue that will bring constructive insights and practical answers on engineering education in the new era, including enabling technology with electronics and information science, city resilience, digital health, new power system, intelligent new energy vehicles, sustainable innovation in developing countries, the sustainability generation: students talk, and engineering education for sustainable development and digital transformation.
