Zhilin Liu is a professor in the School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University, China.She received her bachelor and master degrees in urban geography from the Department of Urban and Environmental Sciences, Peking University, and Phd degree in city and regional planning from Cornell University. Her research focuses on urban rural-to-urban migration, and sustainable urbanization. She has published widely in English and Chinese peer-review journals, including Landscape and Urban Planning, Cities, Urban Studies, Policy Sciences, Journal of Planning Literature, Urban Affairs Review, and Housing Studies. She currently serves as a Co-Editor of Journal of Comparative Policy Analysis (JCPA), Chair of the International Association of China Planning (IACP), a board member of the Urban China Research Network (UCRN), as well as a member of the Academic Committee of Regional Planning and Urban Economy of China Urban Planning Academy. She received the Young Geographers Award by the Geographical Society of China (2017) and the Academic Excellence Award for Young Faculty by Tsinghua University (2014).
