Professor and doctoral supervisor at Tongji University College of Architecture and Urban Planning, council member of the Architectural Programming and Post-Evaluation Professional Committee of the China Architecture Society, senior project manager at Tongji University Architectural Design and Research Institute (Group Co., Ltd.), visiting professor at the New York Institute of Technology, and invited research fellow at Harvard University. She has also served as the deputy director of the Shanghai Hongkou District Planning and Land Bureau and the deputy director of the Development and Reform Commission, as well as a community planner for the Sichuan North Road Street in Shanghai. Additionally, she was the director of the sub-center of the Shanghai Urban Renewal Key Laboratory.
She has led three National Natural Science Foundation projects: establishing decision-making models for architectural programming in large and complex projects, promoting scientifically rational decision- making in architectural projects based on multi-agent theory in architectural design; using Shanghai Workers' New Village as a case study, exploring new pathways for urban renewal in traditional communities against the backdrop of an aging society; and conducting research on child-friendly collective intelligence decision making in urban public spaces from an intergenerational perspective. With 30 years of experience, she has participated in, managed, and creatively contributed to the planning and design of millions of square meters of architectural projects, receiving multiple awards.
