HAN Dongqing is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Architecture, Southeast University, and serves as the Chief Architect of Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. of Southeast University. He was awarded the honorary title of "National Survey and Design Master". Additionally, he holds positions such as Secretary-General of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Architecture Programs in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education, Executive Director of the Architectural Society of China, and Member of the Professional Committee for Architectural Design under the Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
With a focus on architectural design and urban design, Han has dedicated himself to research, practice, and education for many years. He has led two major projects under the National Key Research and Development Program and three projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation. His contributions to the field include authoring four books, such as "Holistic Design on Urban Architecture" (1999 edition) and "Integrated Design Method for Climate-Adaptive Green Public Buildings", and publishing over 90 academic papers. Moreover, he has won three provincial or ministerial-level science and technology achievement awards and over 40 provincial or ministerial-level outstanding engineering design awards.
