Along with the rapid development of the new wave of scientific and technological revolution and industrial changes, the development of engineering education is facing unprecedented new opportunities and challenges. Jointly sponsored by Tsinghua University, the Chinese

Academy of Engineering and UNESCO, and themed “Innovation and Development of Engineering Education”, the 1st International Forum on Engineering Education (IFEE) was convened at Tsinghua University in Beijing from September 24 to 25, 2018.

 

This forum aims to bring together renowned scholars and outstanding leaders worldwide in the fields of engineering education, engineering

technology, and engineering management to discuss the innovation and development of engineering education, promote the progress of world engineering technology and society, and meet major global challenges. The two-day Forum, consisting of the opening ceremony, 2 Presidents Forums and 8 sub-forums, has discussions on topics such as the challenges and opportunities of engineering education, sustainable development of engineering education, industry-university-research collaborations, innovative practices of engineering education, engineering ethics education, diversity of engineering education, etc.
