Xiangjun Zeng, Ph.D., Appointed the Changjiang Distinguished Professorship, winner of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He is currently the vice president of Changsha University of Science and Technology, and the chief editor of “Journal of Electric Power Science and Technology”. He received the B.Sc. (Eng.) degree from Hunan University in 1993, the M.Sc. degree from Wuhan University in 1996, and the Ph.D. degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2001. He focuses on researching the technology & equipment of grounding fault processing and traveling wave based fault location for distribution systems. He invented a novel neutral point flexible grounding method with controllable voltage source for distribution networks. He won the second prize of the State Technological Innovation Award, the Outstanding Young Engineer Award of China Electrical Engineering, and the Gold prize of Geneva international invention exhibition.
