Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Tsinghua University, China. Professor Guangzhi Wang successively obtained bachelor degree, master degree and doctorate degree in engineering from Tsinghua University; since 1987, he had successively worked in the Department of Radio Electronics , Department of Electrical Engineering, and Department of Biomedical Engineering of Tsinghua University. He was a senior visiting scholar at Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University and Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago from 1997.1 to 1998.7. He is currently a professor (tenured) of Tsinghua University, and the executive director of the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Professor Guangzhi Wang's laboratory mainly conducts research on issues related to medical image processing and computer-assisted surgery. Facing clinical needs, it developed key technologies such as medical image analysis, multi-modal medical image fusion, surgical planning, surgical navigation, surgical robots, and motion tracking. A series of cutting-edge technology methods, new equipment and new paradigms based on medical image-based auxiliary diagnosis, treatment, assessment and rehabilitation have been applied and translated in various medical device products, and have obtained multiple Medical Device Registration Certificate, helping physicians in achieving precise, minimally invasive, high-quality diagnosis and treatment, and related innovative products were widely used in clinical practice.
