Professor, Ph.D. supervisor, deputy dean of the School of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering, Beihang University (Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautic), Changjiang Young Scholars Award of the Ministry of Education. From October 2008 to September 2011, he received a Ph.D. in engineering from the University of Sheffield, UK; from 2012 to 2013, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Since February 2013, he has served as an associate professor and professor of the "Outstanding Hundred Talents " of Beihang University. He has carried out original research with international influence in image processing and deep learning, diagnosis of neurodegenerative brain diseases, brain-computer interface and brain-inspired computing, and has achieved a series of fruitful research results. He has published more than 50 academic papers as the first or corresponding author in SCI journals of artificial intelligence and medical image processing such as IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, etc.. His publications have been cited by SCI for more than 1200 times, including 2 ESI highly cited papers. He presided over 10 grants including National Natural Science Foundation of China （key program）, Beijing Natural Science Foundation of China (key program), and aerospace cooperation programs. His research results have been highly appraised by the academic community. In May 2017, the "BCI control electric bed " developed in cooperation with NingBo Artificial Intelligent Institute of Shang Hai Jiao Tong University was reported by CCTV News, Xinhuanet and other media, and was successfully aoolied in Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University for the realization of cognitive rehabilitation training and functional reconstruction of limbs and nervous system. The application results have won the Wu Wenjun AI Natural Sciences Award and the China Stereology Natural Science Award  (both ranked 1st). He has won the Harry Worthington Scholarship, University of Sheffield in the UK and Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad. He won the 28th Beihang Fengru Cup as an excellent supervisor. He is currently the director of the Chinese Society for Stereology and the editor-in-chief of "BIOINFO Mechanical Engineering".
