CAO Shijie is Chair Professor of Southeast University, who has been awarded National Natural Science Funds for Distinguished Young Scholar and Jiangsu Specially-Appointed Professor. He is now directing Jiangsu Province Engineering Research Center of Urban Heat and Pollution Control. He has long been engaged in research on sustainable urban environmental system engineering, fast prediction and intelligent management and control of built environment. He has been awarded as the "World's Top 2% Scientists" of career-long impact ranking list in the field of built environment. He serves as the Associate Editor of Journal of Cleaner Production, the Special Issue Editor of Sustainable Cities and Society, and editorial board members of many international journals.
