Yuan Shen is a Professor with the Electronic Engineering Department at Tsinghua University. He received his B.E. degree in EE from Tsinghua University and Ph.D. degree in EECS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research interest includes localization and sensing, multi-agent systems, and bioinformatics. He has published over 80 papers in IEEE and Nature research journals and authorized 20 invention patents. His papers have received several best paper awards in IEEE journals and conferences. He was the Elected Chair of the IEEE ComSoc Radio Communications Committee, and is currently an Editor of the IEEE Trans. on Wireless Communications, IEEE Trans. on Communications, and China Communications. He is a recipient of the Marconi Society Paul Baran Young Scholar Award and IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Board Outstanding Young Researcher Award, and a co-recipient of the First-Class Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Chinese Institute of Electronics and the First-Class Prize of Beijing Municipal Education and Teaching Achievement Award.
